hi, that's me!
hi, that's me!
About me
I am a mathematics graduate from the University of Queensland in Brisbane, Australia. I completed my Honours thesis under the supervision of Dr Hien Duy Nguyen. Before that, I obtained undergraduate degrees in both mathematics and economics, with majors in statistics and 'quantitative methods' (econometrics, basically).
I am broadly interested in:
- (Mathematics) optimization theory, learning theory, statistical estimation/inference, mathematical & computational statistics, AI/machine learning, deep learning & the relevant applications of these fields.
- (Economics) energy(networks, markets, policy), game theory, econometrics, prediction markets, public policy.
Other Info
I am also interested in (not ordered):
— Effective Altruism. I was previously involved with organising the local EA student club at my university;
— Chinese languages, economics & history;
— technology & the history of technological innovations;
— trying to build accurate world models & improve and understand my own thinking;
— strategy games (Poker, Chess, Go, Magic: The Gathering);
— exploring & learning new things!
If you share any of the above interests and would like to chat, get in touch and I'll share my calendly.
You can leave me anonymous feedback here.
